In Silk Test 15 why do I encounter an error such as “An error occurred when starting the agent” when trying to launch the Open Agent? The error message: Is often accompanied by the following error in the “SilkTest_OpenAgent_Log_xxxxxx.xml” which can be found in: C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Silk\SilkTest\logs log4j:throwable ![CDATA[org.springframework.beans.factory.xml.XmlBeanDefinitionStoreException: Line 7 in XML document from URL [bundleentry://24.fwk16547871/META-INF/spring/proxy.xml] is invalid; nested exception is org.xml.sax.SAXParseException; lineNumber: 7; columnNumber: 69; cvc-elt.1: Cannot find the declaration of element 'beans'. at org.springframework.beans.factory.xml.XmlBeanDefinitionReader.doLoadBeanDefinitions(XmlBeanDefinitionReader.java:404) at org.springframework.beans.factory.xml.XmlBeanDefinitionReader.loadBeanDefinitions(XmlBeanDefinitionReader.java:342) at org.springframework.beans.factory.xml.XmlBeanDefinitionReader.loadBeanDefinitions(XmlBeanDefinitionReader.java:310) This is a known issue which has already been resolved with the release of Hot Fix 1 for Silk Test. The problem is that the Open Agent will not start under specific conditions where no internet connection is available on the host machine.
