Digest verification is a means to verify that the response received from the server during replay is the same as that received during record. A digest is essentially a record of the number of occurrences of each character in a given page. Digest verification is probably the least sophisticated means to verify page content within Silk Performer and is not suitable for dynamic pages. You can optionally set a tolerance (total number of differences) which helps somewhat with this, but in almost all circumstances one of the other WebVerify* functions will give you much greater control over how you verify your pages. The online help contains a complete explanation on Digest verification with details on how the digest is actually created and is worth referring to for further information. You can find the description under WebVerifyDataDigest in the Help index. Old KB# 19376
