As you have downloaded the evaluation version, my guess is that you are trying to install it on a PC that either has, or had, a previous version of SilkTest on it. You can't run versions of SilkTest in parallel because the the later version will overwrite files required by the earlier version and break it. Assuming that the parallel setup is not the case, then the PC must have had an earlier version of SilkTest installed on it. In this latter case the evaluation version will assume that you are trying to install it multiple times to avoid paying a license fee, hence the invalid license message. There are two solutions to this problem; the first is to install the evaluation version on a PC that has never seen SilkTest and the second is to talk to your sales rep about an evaluation license. Explain to them that you have installed SilkTest on a PC that has had a previous version on it and that is why you are requesting a license and that you do not require an evaluation copy. I regret that you have been given the runaround as this should have been a relatively easy problem to resolve.
