imtkmake says to run imtkmake as root, where it should say to run casperm as root During installation of Server Express, at one point the "install" script says: Your Enterprise Server requires configuration. You can either do it now or later. To do it now you need to know the alphanumeric user ID of the Enterprise Server System Administrator. To do it later, enter the following commands whilst logged in as root : [cobdir]/bin/eslminstall [cobdir]/bin/casperm (In the above, [cobdir] means the directory where you installed the product). If you choose "n" for "no", Enterprise Server won't be configured. Then later if you try to invoke the imtkmake utility, the following error appears: Enterprise Server has not yet been configured. This tool cannot be run without that being done. If you wish to configure now, execute [cobdir]/bin/imtkmake whilst logged in as root. The trouble is the error should tell you to execute "casperm" as root, not "imtkmake" as root. Following the instructions in the error message literally, and running [cobdir]/bin/imtkmake whilst logged in as root, simply results in the same error message again. The same problem occurs if you try to execute other ES utilities, for example casstart, casstop, casdump, casfile, etc. This is a known bug, and it will be fixed in an upcoming release of the product. Meanwhile, to solve the problem, enter the following commands whilst logged in as root: [cobdir]/bin/eslminstall [cobdir]/bin/casperm In place of [cobdir], substitute the directory where you installed the product.
