Wiki Page: SYSTEM: 2 - The system cannot find the file specified error returned during Agent Connection

During the initial stages of running a loadtest the Silk Performer controller machine will attempt to make a connection to any remote agent that has been specified for use during test execution.

There maybe instances when the connection between the controller and agent machine fails and an error is returned on the monitor pane.

For a full description of the error message returned, refer to the Simulation Controller tab within the output window.

An error which can be the result of a failing connection is a 'SYSTEM: 2 - The system cannot find the file specified error returned during Agent Connection' error.

A cause of this error can be the result of the 'Particular user Account' option being utilized within SILK PERFORMER | SETTINGS | SYSTEM | AGENTS | ADVANCED.

This option allows for the specification of a user account, which will ultimately lead to the various agents processes being launched under the account during the load test. This option is heavily utilized in the browser driven approach.

When a user account has been specified in AGENTS | ADVANCED, then a user (non specific user) needs to be physically logged into the agent machine, in order
for the processes to startup and thus establishing a connection during the test.

By not physically logging into the agent, the SYSTEM: 2 - The system cannot find the file specified is the outcome. Once logged into the agent and another test execution is attempted, the error is no longer returned.

This is only applicable when making use of the AGENTS | ADVANCED option. Under normal circumstances (when the option is not used), the agent processes are launched under the default SYSTEM account. With this approach, a user does not need to be physically logged into the agent machine.

(NOTE : The above is also applicable whilst using the 'System Configuration Manager' option).
