Created On: 15 February 2011 Problem: In corporate environments, the VisiBroker files and services are mistakenly scanned and removed by an on-access scan of antivirus engine. How can I avoid this issue? Resolution: This issue occurs most likely for the VisiBroker installed in Windows machines in corporate environments. The on-access scan of antivirus detects VisiBroker binary files/services as malware and removes them. (eg. OfficeScan, McAfee etc...). To avoid that, the VisiBroker files and services should be configured at each Windows machine via its installed client of the on-access antivirus program. Files: ${VBROKERDIR}/bin/*.* ${VBROOKERDIR}/lib/* ${VBROKERDIR}/var/* ${VBROKERDIR}/license/* Processes: VisiBroker services used for applications should be excluded from scanning, which include osagent , nameserv , oad , visinotify , events , ots , timeserv , visitelcolog , vbj , vbjc , etc. Incident #2483988 Old KB# 33599
