Wiki Page: Use of InPrivate Browsing when recording Internet Explorer with Silk Performer 15

Silk Performer 15 introduced a change to recording style where the web browser to be recorded (Internet Explorer and Google Chrome) gets launched by default in in-private (incognito) mode.   This has several important advantages: It is no longer a requirement to clear browser cache and cookies before protocol level recordings since the in private mode typically loads with a clear cache and doesn't allow the caching of objects during recording.  This ensures all items get requested from the server and a complete script is recorded. In private browsing also prevents the loading of some browser addons and plugins.  It is usual for various browser addons to load when the browser loads and this can sometimes cause the capture of unwanted traffic in the script.  This will no longer occur as many of the most common addons are not loaded when using in private browsing mode. While this in private browsing has advantages for script recording you may want to disable it and you can do that via SETTINGS | SYSTEM | RECORDER | APPLICATION PROFILE | double click on IE and remove the Program arguments: -private. In private mode is known as incognito mode in Chrome.   In some environments the ability to start an in private session may be disabled by the group policy Computer Configuration Administrative Templates Windows Components Internet Explorer Privacy.  If this is the case then Internet Explorer will not launch and you will need to remove the in private flag from the program arguments to get IE to launch again.
