Assuming that Silk Mobile is able to find and interact with most of the controls on the instrumented application, except for those on the email client (such as the 'Cancel' or 'Send' buttons in the screenshot above); the most likely explanation is that the app makes use of the iOS system's email client. It is not possible to instrument iOS system applications, including the email client; in the same way that you can instrument applications that are installed via an ipa file. This limitation can potentially affect any instrumented application that utilizes system applications such as the Email Client; on an iOS7 device. The only workaround available is to test the application on iOS6, where it's possible to use text and image recognition to work with the controls; an approach which is not currently possible on iOS7 devices.
