Data sources can be added to the file Realtime.ini in the Working\Include folder using the following format: S=SYSTEM, DSBKey, Description M=PDCEKey, MeasureKey, MeasureClass, PDCEMeasureScale, Unit, ScaleFactor, MinLevel1, MaxLevel1, MinLevel2, MaxLevel2, Duration, Description Key System entry parameters (S=) System: System key used for treeview DSBKey: Type of measure (PERFMON, REXEC etc). This is used to identify the correct port to query. Description: The description for Tooltip Measure entry parameters (M=) Bold items are those currently used PDCEKey: The query used by the PDCE engine MeasureKey: The Treeview MeasureClass: Currently not used PDCEMeasureScale: Currently not used Unit: Currently not used ScaleFactor: Currently not used MinLevel1: Currently not used MaxLevel1: Currently not used MinLevel2: Currently not used MaxLevel2: Currently not used Duration: Currently not used Description: Tooltip The Realtime.ini file is divided into System sections. Each System entry apply to all Measure entries following it until the next System entry. Example To add the Performance Monitor counter IP Datagrams per second for Windows 2000: 1. Open realtime.ini 2. Find the section S= Operating System Data\Windows 2000/XP\System (perfmon), PERFMON 3. In the section add the following line: M= PERFMON:\IP\Datagrams/sec, System\IP\Datagrams/sec, eAvgOnlyCounter, 0, , 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, The rate at which IP datagrams are received from or sent to the interfaces including those in error Save the file and reopen Monitor Server. IP Datagrams per second should now appear in the list of predefined data sources. Old KB# 19705
