The error 'Error connecting to database' can be produced when connecting to  a workbench database when the Silk test Workbench database schema has not yet been created. 1.  Click Start Programs Silk Silk Test Administration Database Maintenance . 2.  With the Database Maintenance utility open, Click File New Database SQL Server . The SQL Server Data Source Connection dialog box opens. 3.  Type the name of the new SQL Server data source or click Browse and select a data source name from the Select ODBC Data Source dialog box. 4.  I n the appropriate text boxes, type the name of the database owner, which is the user with the role db_owner, the SQL Server user ID and password, and then click Create .
