Any attempt to enter an admin password results in an error. This is caused by the SilkMeter 15.0 policy file not being correctly loaded into SilkMeter. To fix the problem do the following steps: 1. Close the user policy administrator 2. Stop the Silk Meter Service Go to “Control Panel | Administrative Tools | Services” – stop “Silk Meter Proxy service” 3. Depending on your operating system: 64-bit - Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Silk\Silk Meter 15.0\cfg 32-bit - Go to C:\Program Files\Silk\Silk Meter 15.0\cfg 4. Delete SmAdminPol27.pol 5. Double-click on SmAdminPol15_0.pol 6. Restart the Silk Meter Service - go to “Control Panel | Administrative Tools | Services” – start “Silk Meter Proxy service”.
