What is the actual product that you have installed, Visual COBOL or Enterprise Developer? What is the exact name of the installer file that you ran to install the software? The Micro Focus CES daemon is a Windows service that is installed with Visual COBOL that handles the communication with the License Manager. It should be started automatically. Look under Administrative Tools-- Services for Micro Focus CES Daemon as shown below and make sure that it is set to automatic and that it is started.
