This error originates from Installshield and not from SilkTest. There are currently two known sources: 1. Installing SilkTest without administrator privileges. It is a requirement that SilkTest must be installed and run with administrator-level privileges. 2. Corrupted Installshield installation information. To fix this you will need to clear out the Installation Information file for SilkTest from the InstallShield path. Identification of the SilkTest InstallShield can be done as follows: 2a. Go to Start | Program Files | Borland | SilkTest and right-click on Uninstall SilkTest. The uninstall command will look something like this: "C:\Program Files\Common Files\InstallShield\Driver\1150\Intel 32\IDriver.exe" /M{8CF98970-A7EE-45D3-8350-4285625E3D9A} -uninstall Make a note of the Registry hive number - in this case it is {8CF98970-A7EE-45D3-8350-4285625E3D9A}. Close the Properties window. 2b. Go to C:\Program Files\InstallShield Installation Information and identify the folder that has the same number as the Registry hive that you have just noted. This is the SilkTest InstallShield Information folder that needs to be deleted.
