Occasionally, when starting SilkPerformer a dialog may appear saying "please wait while Windows configures or installs the required component". This can occur if the installer reports that the initial install of SilkPerformer did not complete. To resolve this issue, download the SilkPerformer install files, run the installer and chose to unpack the installer files to a directory on the C drive such as C:\install. Now start SilkPerformer and when the dialog appears, browse to the location of the install files and point it to the required file. Now the installer will complete the installation as it should have been done originally and when complete SilkPerformer should start normally. Old KB# 20646
