How can I add custom functions and methods that I have defined, to the SilkTest Library browser?   Solution: It is possible to add your own custom functions, methods, objects etc to SilkTest"s Library Browser through the editing of the file 4test.txt, which can be found in your SilkTest installation directory, for example: C:\Program Files (x86)\Silk\SilkTest\4test.txt SilkTest reads and compiles this file upon launch to populate the Library Browser. However, if you have edited this file using a third-party file editor (such as UltraEdit ), when launched the Library Browser may not reflect the changes you have made. No error messages will be displayed if this is the case. It is also recommended that if you are going to alter or add to this file that you make a back-up of the original, and edit it using Windows Notepad. In the event you have accidentally overwritten or deleted your copy of this file, please contact Microfocus Technical Support. Old KB# 23444
