This is a known issue with the 12.0 builds you are evaluating, and has been addressed subsequently. (The code attempted to create an internal custom component) 12.0 itself was unofficially deprecated in favor of 12.5 a year ago. As a matter of fact, we have officially release StarTeam 14.0 today. Is it possible for you to install the trial version of StarTeam 14.0, server, mpx, web server and cpc? You should have no problem whatsoever with this build. If for some reason you cannot access or install 14.0, our latest patch releases of the 13.0 product line are also an excellent evaluation platform.
